From day one a new mom dog knows exactly what to do to care for her pups, although she’s never been taught. She carefully cleans each puppy as it’s born and tenderly lays it within reach of her milk. Most mother dogs don’t move away from their newborns during the first 24 to 48 hours. They know every minute is important in protecting newborn lives.
.
Birds are the same. From day one, they feed and protect their newly born chicks. The parents know precisely what to feed them each day. They also know exactly how much and how often to feed their youngsters. Though it differs greatly from day one until launch day when they’re booted out of the nest, mom (and often dad too) know the changing appetites and feeding schedules of their young.
.
It’s all quite astonishing! The Maker of all life precisely designed their DNA code to build a pea-sized unthinkably complex computer brain with different “understandings.” Then, He made it so the wiring would complete itself and construct brains so that separate nerves are perfectly wired for perfectly timed meals!
.
Contemplating all this is exciting for us here at CWS. It keeps us leaning hard on the Source of all beauty and wonder. We’re convinced that He knows how to best navigate any and every new situation we face–and He is able to pull off astonishing things by the greatness of His power and wisdom.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights (the stars), with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.” —James 1:17.
