Choose Your Adventure
As the calendar suggests, students begin with the core videos of the selected Global Topic. Then a variety of other activities are incorporated to facilitate deeper understanding, often with a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ type of approach. This makes the program very versatile to any age and compatible with most any homeschooling approach or other curriculum.
The U-Choose sections lets your student or you decide how to learn more about the topic. They may watch a video, do a survey, color, go on a scavenger hunt, cook a meal, or many other topics.
In the Reinforcement tab, your student is given options to help them learn even more. They can color a page, create a crossword puzzle or game, make a puppet show, and so much more. Again you and your child can decide what works best.

Maggie is working on a display board about Fins and Swim Patterns. The is how it came about.
One of the ideas in the experiments was to make a flat-model 3D display.This is what she has been working on already for an entire day. I recently discovered that she doesn’t view this type of thing as learning/schoolwork so I’m going to roll with that idea!
She has the freedom to do this however she would like. She is drawing pictures of information she discovers in some of the books we are reading. Then she writes a few sentences about it or definitions. I’m super excited to see how her final product looks.
